IS THE SERVICE SUITABLE FOR MY BUSINESS?

This depends on what product or service you purchase. Where you are purchasing a bundle you may not need all the policies/procedures initially, however as your business evolves you can adapt and incorporate their use as you see fit. If you have any questions as to which service, product or bundle would be appropriate for your business please contact us. Please note that the Data Protection Services are only appropriate for those businesses that are processing personal information of UK or EU individuals, where the GDPR or GDPR equivalent requirements apply.

ARE THE TEMPLATES FIT TO USE STRAIGHT AWAY?

The documentation that you purchase provides a framework for you to utilise to provide evidence of compliance with the data protection requirements as it stands under the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). Every effort has been made to make the policies and procedures as generic as possible, however you are responsible for ensuring the templates are adapted to reflect your business requirements.

 The templates have been written with the end customer in mind, therefore should be clearly understood – as a result some information that you may see in other templated documents may not be present, for example an individuals right to opt out of Automatic Profiling. If you are larger company and undertake this processing please contact me to establish whether the policies are appropriate for your requirements.

WHAT SUPPORT DO YOU PROVIDE?

The Genie wishes to support your business and ensure it is protected, so if you are having trouble accessing your purchase or customising your templates please let us know. Please note this does not extend to providing consultancy or implementation advice, this is available through on of the other services. Please see our services for further information or contact us to discuss your requirements further.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE THE DOCUMENTS/VIDEO?

Once you have made a purchase, you will have the ability to download the documents through a URL that is sent to you. The URL can be used more than once. Please note that policies and processes will be updated on a regular basis, in line with current regulations so you should check back on a regular basis to ensure the template you are using is still suitable.

In the event that you purchase a masterclass, these are currently hosted on Youtube via a private link. You will have access for as long as the video is stored on Youtube. In the event that this changes we will endeavour to notify you prior to removing the video. If you require a version to download please contact us within 28 days of purchase.

WHAT FORMAT ARE THE FILES IN?

The files will be formatted in Word, PDF, Excel or via a unique url for video format. Occasionally there may be a need to provide the documents in zipped format due to the size of the files.

I’M HAVING TROUBLE CHECKING OUT

The checkout service is automated and is in conjunction with Stripe. Please contact us and let us know which product or service you are interested in, if you are having trouble.

DO YOU OFFER REFUND AND RETURNS?

As the documentation templates and videos are downloadable and accessible immediately, they cannot be returned, therefore we do not offer refunds. Please refer to the Terms of Purchase for further information.

HOW MANY HOURS DO I RECEIVE, IF I HAVE A GENIE FOR THE DAY?

For the Genie for the Day Service, you will receive 6.5 hours of time. We will agree beforehand what work you require undertaking and a Terms of Engagement will be provided prior to work being undertaken. It is important that you understand the Terms of Engagement as it provides details of the work to be undertaken, payment details, including deposits needed to secure the service.

DO THESE TERMS APPLY TO AUDITS?

For all audits, a separate Terms of Business or Agreement will be provided separately. These will cover the key terms, responsibilities and payment details, including any deposits required when booking an audit.

WHAT DOES * MEAN?

The investment for the ongoing service starts from £888 a day (6 hours) and is dependent on a minimum 3-month agreement. In the event that the Audit service has been completed and paid for, the ongoing service will start from £777 (6 hours), subject to the ongoing service being agreed within 28 days of the audit being completed and a minimum term of 3 months support is purchased. Separate Terms of Business/agreements will be provided tailored to each individual client.  In the event that a regular retainer is more appropriate for your business this can be tailored to your business.
